Design Styles

• Classic

The Classic Style, just like the name shows, is in itself the definition of iconic. Its elegance and comfort remind us of art, to the antique and to symmetry. The aesthetical appeal of this movement is able to make you feel longing, even bringing up a nostalgic feeling.

Classic Design Style is all about harmony, order and friendly charm. In interior design, neutral paint on the walls is the ideal canvas for this deco, so that it can hence the room’s furniture, artwork, and accent pieces. Inspired by the 18th and 19th-century European decor, this is a timeless style, rich with history.

• Contemporary

The word “contemporary” means of the moment, making the Contemporary Style really hard to define. Dating back to the 1970s, this style is unique because it borrows elements from many other movements and styles. In it, you can see inclinations to modern, traditional, art deco and even futuristic design.

A Contemporary Design Style decoration is defined by simplicity, subtle sophistication, deliberate use of texture and clean lines. The contemporary interior is filled with space instead of things. They focus on color, space, and shape, and are sleek and fresh. The colors in the contemporary style are mainly neutrals, black and white. The palette is often punched up and accented with bright and cold color that play against neutrals.

Saya de Malha Bank, the largest submerged ocean bank in the world, inspired the creation of SAYA Mirror. It is composed by a polished nickel concave frame, with an undulating surface covered in casted brass details, and a convex mirror. These shapes recreate the oceanic bank that was named by Portuguese sailors when they were sailing between Cape of Good Hope and India.

• Eclectic

Eclectic Style decoration movement started with the Fine Arts and Architecture, whose artists prided themselves in not adhering to any particular style. Eclectic Style may seem unattained, however, eclectic spaces celebrate the harmonizing of seemingly disparate styles, textures, and colors.

Eclectic Design Style is a mix of high and low, rugged and luxed, bold and quiet. It reflects confidence in your design style and personality. Finding the nirvana between contrast and cohesive is the key to master this style. Maintaining balance is keeping proportions and silhouettes consistent, and if you are not sure how to start, choose your ‘must-have’ products and build around those, experimenting with rugs, lighting, artwork, and decor.

Namib desert is one of the oldest and largest deserts in the world and NAMIB Bonnet Sofa pays tribute to it. This powerful fabric sofa is upholstered in satin cotton and has legs in high gloss black lacquered, embodying an invigorating strength. • Mid-Century

Although Mid-Century Style started in 1933, it comprised the Second World War and reached its end by the mid-1960s – it influenced the fields of architecture, graphic, product and interior design as well.

The needs to a better past, a post-war scene and a nostalgia for the future, created this new wave. The fusion of nature in the style, as well as its simplicity allied to a luxurious feel, makes Mid-Century Design Style one of the most iconic and still present tones nowadays. Ideal for open floor plans, for places with ample windows, able to bring the outdoors in.

Grand Canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. As an attempt to reinterpret its magnificence, CANYON Screen was created. It features a structure in wood covered with brass with aged, brown and red patina and nails in aged gold. This room divider will make a statement in any modern interior design.

• Modern

The Modern Style is usually mistaken with the Contemporary Style. Modern Style was birthed on a design movement which started around the turn of the 20th century. Modern Style furnishings and decor celebrate natural materials, neutral or earthy colors, and the elimination of unnecessary detailing.

Modern Design Style leaves the structural elements of the house exposed, there is an emphasis on horizontal and verticle lines, a celebration of natural light with unadorned windows, natural materials such as unpainted wood, metals, leather and natural fibres with a neutral, natural color palette. Natural Woods and wood veneers and reflective surfaces such as steel, chrome or glass are also present in this style.

Nazca is a tectonic plate located in the southern Pacific Ocean. As a tribute to Mother Earth’s heartbeat, our designers created NAZCA Sideboard with a structure in matte walnut root veneer and a base in vintage brass matte. This 4-door sideboard will add a richer earth beat to any home decor.
