Aspen House was a 6000 square feet neo-Georgian House built in the early nineties where Mark Howorth saw an opportunity. Located in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, Aspen House is now a 5-star contemporary country home. The purpose was to create a sublime and luxurious home that reflected the client’s personality and Nigerian influence, taking advantage of the large and well-organized spaces without laking the countryside setting. Let’s take a look at this marvelous contemporary home with a punch of BRABBU‘s influence.
Aspen House
Aspen House can be described as a classic contemporary home built with much elegance and personality. All the elements were well-thought to orchestrate together and create the full finished look. As in every other project of Callender Howorth, consultants in the area were contacted to make sure the home has the latest technology and innovation.

The first thing one enters the house is greeted with a double staircase composed with renews flooring, lightened by a signature custom-made element. This chandelier is crafted in hand-blown glass with different colours, adding some punch to the minimal marble floors and dark grey trim of the main entrance hall. It is also a way to integrate the client’s personality as an integral part of the project, one of the main principles of Callender Howorth‘s philosophy.

The interior design of this inspiring residence is filled with the best-curated furniture and home décor selection – among them is a fierce item by BRABBU that stands out from the rest, giving this contemporary home a feeling of a refined and cosmopolitan lifestyle. Located in the master bedroom, which is a spacious suite decorated with a neutral colour palette, SAYA Mirror by BRABBU is striking above the sleek white dresser.

Composed of polished stainless steel in a concave and convex structure, SAYA Mirror stands out with its undulating surface covered in casted brass details. Inspired by the oceanic bank named by Portuguese Sailors, Saya de Malha Bank, the largest submerged ocean bank in the world, this mirror perfectly echoes the room’s grey tones.

The icing on the cake was the custom-designed cinema on the top floor. Since the client’s passion is to entertain, Callender Howorth created the true cinematic experience with chairs that adjust automatically to the user’s physiognomy, among other details that were added to achieve the ultimate lush comfort.
