Dior perfumer-creator since 2006, François Demachy grew up in Grasse, where he developed an unconditional love of fine materials and learned the alchemical secrets of perfumery. Demachy has cultivated special relationships with suppliers to source the exceptional ingredients that form the signature of his creations, to perpetuate the heritage of Christian Dior with rigor and creativity.
Élisabeth de Feydeau, a writer with a doctorate in history from the Sorbonne, has worked at some of the top brands in the French perfume industry. In 2011 she launched Arty Fragrance, a consulting company specializing in luxury fragrance development, communication, and training. A professor at the ISIPCA perfume school in Versailles, Feydeau has written several books, including A Scented Palace: The Secret History of Marie Antoinette’s Perfumer (Tauris, 2006). Feydeau also curates exhibitions and hosts workshops and conferences around the world.
